The Indians got off to a hot start, going 6-2, but hit a lull during the second third of the season, but picked up the pace in the final third, winning 7 of its final 9 games. Shaun Gould lead the team in goals, followed closely by Jake Laurie with line mate (and brother) Josh. The defense was lead by Assistant Captain John Mullaney, Jeff Rego, Jake MacDonald, and Matt Hutton. Our goalie could have used some work though…We participated in three tournaments on the Cape, The Ann Este Memorial Tournament, which benefits the Ann Este Scholarship Fund. The Indians went 3-1 in that tournament and won the Championship Game in the A Division to bring home the Trophy.
The Indians then participated in the 21st Annual Spring Fling Tournament, which benefits local underprivileged Y-D youth hockey players. The Indians went 2-2, losing in a very close Championship Game, 3-4.
We then participated in, and won the Cape Cod Hockey Classic, with a record of 3-1.
All in all, it was an excellent season for the Indians, and we are expecting to improve on this past season’s success.
