In November 2010 at the Last Gasp 2010 Check presentation, the final numbers were revealed. LAST GASP 2010 raised a record breaking $344,000 for 6 local charities! Team Cape Cod Beer came in second place raising $34,900! Which is an AMAZING number! Team Cape Cod Beer received two additional awards:
- The Edgar Hebert Award for the largest team (25 members)
- The Karen Fuller Award given to Jacob Marcus as the youngest (under 18) Big Wheel in 2010 ( at age 12).
“Big Wheels” are people who raise more than a $1000, and there were plenty of those from Team Cape Cod Beer there last night. Overall there were 80 big wheels in 2010…another record breaking number! One gentlman, Nick, raised $21,000 himself – a true inspiration. He reminded us all that most people want to give – and all we have to do is ask!
Thank you to hard working members of Team Cape Cod Beer, who collectively raised about $24,000, with an additional $10,900 coming from the LAST GASP BEER BASH.
